<span> <h2 class="sectHeading">Join a support group </h2></span> <p> As a loved one of a person with Down Syndrome, you may find that you need support from your community. The Down Syndrome support group is headed by a trained counsellor and provides a safe space where you can share the difficulties and the joys of caring for someone with Down Syndrome. People with Down Syndrome may also attend the support group. <br><br>This programme is hosted at <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/see-all-city-facilities/our-recreational-facilities/Community%20centres/Nelson%20Mandela%20%28Mitchells%20Plain%29%20Family%20Youth%20Centre">Nelson Mandela Youth Family Centre</a>.
