Our programmes range from sports and fitness to general wellness and support.    </p></div><span> <h2 class="sectHeading">​​​​​​​​​​​Variety programmes</h2></span> <p>The activities offered by the facilities taking part in the City’s disability programme differ for each facility, from teaching art and craft techniques to a variety of sport and recreation projects. Currently, our basketball practice for people with disabilities is held at <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/See-all-city-facilities/Our-recreational-facilities/Community%20centres/Delft%20South%20Hall">Delft South Hall</a>. Please visit the facility for its individual programme schedule. </p><p> <strong>Floor hockey </strong> <br>The  offer regular indoor floor hockey games for people with mental disabilities. The game takes place in the centre’s hall and involves hockey sticks and a soft ball. </p><p>Floor hockey is currenly run at the <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/See-all-city-facilities/Our-recreational-facilities/Community%20centres/Proteaville%20Recreation%20Centre">Proteaville Recreation Centre</a>. Please visit the faciilty page to for the programme schedule and more information. </p> <span> <h2 class="sectHeading">​​​​​Nompumelelo School for Disability programme</h2></span> <p> In summer, learners from the Nompumelelo School for Disability exercise or prepare for their sports day or inter-school athletics. The school, which caters to children with learning disabilities, also runs a soccer programme in winter and a cricket programme in summer. <br> <br>The programme is currently takes place at the <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/see-all-city-facilities/our-recreational-facilities/Community%20centres/NY%2049%20Gugulethu%20Stadium">NY 49 Gugulethu Stadium</a>. Please visit the faciilty page to for the programme schedule and more information. </p> <span> <h2 class="sectHeading">​​​​​​​​​​Healthy Minds and Wellness programme ​​​​​​​</h2></span> <p> The programme is facilitated by the City’s <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Work%20and%20business/Jobs-and-skills-development/Work-for-the-City-of-Cape-Town/Find-an-opportunity-with-EPWP">Expanded Public Works Programme</a> and teaches physical activities to primary school and high school students with special needs. Exercises include recreational games, running, stretching and a variety of other fun activities. </p><p>The programme is currently run for the LSEN School for children with disabilities and takes place at the <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/see-all-city-facilities/our-recreational-facilities/Community%20centres/Ocean%20View%20Sport%20and%20Recreation%20Centre">Ocean View Multipurpose Centre</a>.
