Waste education talks <h2 class="sectHeading">Organise a waste talk </h2><p>The programme aims to create awareness around recycling at schools and teach educators and learners how to start an onsite recycling programme. Our waste talks will also assist schools in developing a waste management portfolio and equip educators to teach their learners about the causes and effects of poor waste management at school and at home. If you'd like to find out more about recycling, please see our <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Family%20and%20home/Education-and-research-materials/Graphics-and-educational-material/Solid-waste-education-resources">solid waste education resources</a>.</p><h2 class="sectHeading">Submit a booking request for Bingo</h2><p>You can submit a booking request to have Bingo, our anti-littering mascot, visit your school. </p><h4>What does Bingo do? </h4><p>Bingo’s message is simple “<em>N</em><em>ever litter, and always bin it in the Bingo Bin!</em>” </p><p> Our anti-littering mascot is on a mission to spread awareness about the green ‘Bingo’ bins placed throughout the city and the importance of disposing of waste correctly.<br></p><h4> A visit from Bingo will include an educational talk on: <br></h4><ul><li>anti-littering </li><li>the impact of illegal dumping on the environment</li><li> the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling waste in and around the home</li></ul><p>Bingo will perform drama skits and/or poems during the talk and teach learners some educational songs.
