Our Open Innovation approach gives you the opportunity to collaborate with us to help us find solutions to some of the challenges we face.
Valuable ideas can come from inside and outside of our organisation and, as we’ve committed to working together with the community, we want you to tell us how your innovative solutions can help make Cape Town an even greater city and improve the lives of all Capetonians.
We have created the Open Innovation platform to help you submit the ideas that you believe will help us enhance our services to all the residents of Cape Town.
Benefits
Through the Open Innovation approach, we can all work together to help improve the City’s services to our residents, via new technologies, processes, systems, etc. This will not only help us use our resources more efficiently, but also make us a more inclusive and well-run city.

Submissions
Anyone can submit ideas and your solution can cover any of our services, from water and sanitation, energy and housing, to parks and recreation, transport and more.
To have your submission considered, you need to submit a proposal detailing your recommendation, along with supporting documentation. We will then evaluate your submission and, if it’s viable, we will contact you for more information.
