It was RESOLVED that the
 
(a)  Subcouncil Civic Awards be awarded to the recipients below in the categories as stated, in terms of the City of Cape Town: Civic Honours Policy:
 
 
                   i.        Ward 31, in the Category Youth Affairs – Ms Shahieda Martin
                  ii.        Ward 50, in the Category Recreation and Sport – Neville Morkel
                 iii.        Ward 51, in the Category Youth Affairs – Sisa Nobanda
                 iv.        Ward 51 & 52, in the Category Recreation and Sport – Langa Rugby Youth Club, received by Mzoxolo Kutta
                  v.        Ward 52, in the Category Community Affairs – Thamara Bambiso
                 vi.        Ward 53, in the Category Community Affairs – Angie Botha
                vii.        Ward 53, in the Category Community Affairs – John Berry (posthumous), received by Mrs Benita Berry, wife
              viii.        Ward 56, in the Category Community Affairs – Colleen Bingham
                 ix.        Ward 56, in the Category Community Affairs – Collin Sass (posthumous), received by Mrs Sass, wife
                  x.        Ward 56, in the Category Community Affairs – Play Sport 4 Life, received by Mr Miles October and Mrs Carolyn Inglis  
                 xi.        Ward 56, in the Category Community Affairs – Kensington Ratepayers & Residents Association, received by Messrs Leslie Swartz and Dawood Essack and Messes Mariam Oliver and Fadia Gamieldien  
 
(b) names of all persons and/or organisations be submitted to the Office of the Executive Mayor, who shall keep a register of the names of all persons or associations or groups of persons to whom a certificate of recognition has been granted.
