A pearl of great value<p>​Pearl started her journey with the City as an intern, was subsequently seconded to the Corporate Contact Centre as a team leader, later promoted to Corporate Contact Centre Head and now after many years of dedicated service, Pearl is the Customer Relations Manager. </p><div><br></div><div>Pearl heads a team of approximately 180 permanent employees as well as 30 contract staff, When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, Pearl embarked on a mission to continue service delivery despite the challenges. She showed up for work with her teams in the midst of the pandemic while still focussing on employee health and safety. </div><div><br></div><div>‘The City’s Contact Centre is the central point for service delivery where residents can report faults and requests. Thus, it is very important that we have the right person leading the centre. I have had the privilege of meeting Pearl personally and I am confident that the City’s Contact Centre is in the right hands. She continually strives for service excellence and leads with integrity, respect and dignity.
