RESOLVED
 
Subcouncil 18 SUPPORTS the recommendation:
 
It is recommended that the portion of Erf 75609 Cape Town, situated at 292A Prince
George Drive, Southfield in extent approximately 1.38ha and as indicated by the figure lettered as ABCDEFGH on the attached Plan 130010052 marked as Annexure A, be reserved for the Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department), subject to inter alia the following conditions, that:
 

  1. The subject property shall be reserved for the purpose of regularising and upgrading of the existing informal settlement, and ancillary purposes;
 
  1. The Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department) takes responsibility for any land use processes, permits, applications or permissions which may be prescribed as a result of the reservation, as well as compliance with any related legislation in respect of the subject property;
  2.   The Humans Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department) accepts full responsibility for the management and maintenance of the land, any current structures and any structure to be erected thereon, including maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is applicable;
 
d)    The Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department) takes cognisance of and adheres to the conditions required by the service branches, particularly those of the Environmental Management Department, in paragraph 9 below;
 
e. That all costs related to the above be provided for by the Human Settlements Directorate (Informal Settlements Department.
