Resolution detail

a)    That Mr Ian Davids (Project Manager:  Public Housing) be tasked with submitting written confirmation to the Subcouncil Manager that the department will supplement the additional funds to continue with projects WPX.0013595:  Community Clean Up – Ward 25 and WPX.0011326:  Community Clean Up – Ward 42, until the 30th of June 2024. 
 
b)    That Ms Kelly Arendse (Human Settlements) be tasked with submitting a progress report to the Subcouncil in respect of the status of project CPX.0019841-F1:  Goodwood Station Social Housing.  The report must include feedback on the following questions raised:
 

  1. How many residents from Subcouncil 4 were tenanted during the first phase of the project? 
2.  The reason why applicants are being charged a fee for the application forms?  In the first phase, applicants were not charged a fee. 
3.  Do senior citizens qualify to reside at the said premises? 
4.  Permission was granted to the contractors to make use of the City’s fire hydrants for water.
5.  Clean up of water spillages in the subway due to the damage caused to fire hydrant pipes by contractors.
6.  Requesting construction vehicles not to make use of Grens Street as the road is not suitable for the utilisation of heavy vehicles.  It was proposed that the contractors make use of Showground Avenue instead of Grens Street. 
7.  Confirmation that successful tenants are registered on the Housing database?
 
c)     That Ms Renee Weyers  (Community Services and Health) submit a written progress report on the Multi-ward Projects CPX.0022558-F1:  Elsies River Integrated Rec Facility and CPX.0022558-F2 Elsies River Integrated Rec Facility.
 
d)    That Ms Faeza Salie (Recreation and Sport) and Principal Inspector Petrus van Wyk (Law Enforcement) be tasked with arranging an introduction session between the Auxilliary Law Enforcement Officers and the Ward Councillors. 
 
That Ms Faeza Salie be tasked with submitting progress reports to forthcoming Subcouncil meetings.
