Our FreeCall lines are located at various municipal and community buildings throughout Cape Town and allow you to contact us directly at no cost.
About
FreeCall lines automatically connects to the City’s 24-hour call centre. An agent will answer the phone in the language of your choice, log a service request, and give you a reference number which you can use to follow up at any time.
The lines are located in municipal buildings, housing offices, cash offices, libraries, clinics and community facilities throughout Cape Town.
What can I use a FreeCall line for?
You can use a Freecall line to contact us for various enquiries and service requests, for example:
- Account enquiries
- Burst pipes and leaks
- Illegal dumping
- Illegal water connections and usage
- Motor vehicle related enquiries, e.g. vehicle licences, drivers/learners licences and traffic fines. (This service is only available on weekdays during office hours.)
- Potholes and damaged roads
- Refuse collections
- Streetlights out
- Water and electricity faults
