Participate in the engagement process for the proposed mixed-use development of Three Anchor Bay, Green Point

<span> <h2 class="sectHeading">About</h2></span> <p>The City’s <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/Departments/Property%20Development%20Department">Property Development Department </a>has initiated the land packaging and acquisition of the development rights process for the Three Anchor Bay Site on Erf 2187. </p><p> This process will include the development of an urban design concept followed by the required statutory applications to enable mixed-use development, which includes retail, office, residential and public facilities. </p><p>The government-owned site is roughly 4,5 hectares and zoned as Public Open Space (OS2). It is bounded by:</p><ul><li>Sea Point Main Road (M61) to the south, </li><li> Helen Suzman Boulevard and Beach Road (M6) to the north, and </li><li> Three Anchor Bay Road to the west. </li></ul><p>Currently, the site houses the following facilities:</p><ul><li>Colin Eglin Sea Point Public Library </li><li>Sea Point Civic Centre and Hall </li><li>Fives Football Green Point Sports Club </li><li>Glen Green Point Sports Centre (including the Atlantic Green Point Bowling Club) </li><li>Pinocchio Crèche </li><li>Beach Rugby South Africa </li><li> Western Province Bridge Centre for the Western Cape Bridge Union.</li></ul><p>The Three Anchor Bay development project aims to maximise the development potential of the site. </p><h4>For more information: <br></h4><ul><li>Visit <a href="https://www.infinityenv.co.za/3anchorbay" target="_blank">www.infinity.capetown/3anchorbay<i class="icon link-external"></i></a><br></li><li>Go to our <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/general/property-development-department-projects#Heading1" target="_blank">Property Development Department projects page</a>.</li></ul><h4>Phase two: Concept Design phase<br></h4><p>We are currently in the concept design phase. This phase will involve participatory, design-orientated engagement with both local and institutional stakeholders and the broader public. <br></p><p>A Public Open House took place on 12 November 2025.
