<span> <h2 class="sectHeading">How to book a film location</h2> <span> <div class="notification with-heading dark-copy pink bg-light-grey"><div class="graphic with-border"> <i class="info note"></i> </div><div class="desc"><h4>Please note</h4><p> <b></b>You can only <a href="https://www.capetown.gov.za/City-Connect/Apply/Licences-and-permits/Filming-and-events/Apply-for-a-film-permit">apply for a film permit</a> once you have secured a venue.</p></div></div></span></span> <p> <strong>Step 1:</strong> Register for the City’s <a href="http://web1.capetown.gov.za/web1/filmpermitsonline" target="_blank">online film location booking system<i class="icon link-external"></i></a>. This is a once-off registration and will only require some basic details in order to be completed.</p><p> <strong>Step 2:</strong> Once you have registered, login into the system.</p><p> <strong>Step 3:</strong> Create a booking request, which contains the five following steps:</p><ul><li>Select your location.</li><li>Provide the details of your location.</li><li>Provide a date and time.</li><li>Select whether you will require road closures and traffic officers.</li><li>Provide the shoot details.</li></ul><p> <strong>Step 4:</strong> Once your request has been created, you will receive a booking number. Part of acquiring your film permit is being able to secure a film location. You can do so through the City’s online sysem.
