The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate has turned the final nuts and bolts on a new section of water pipe that was successfully installed in Parkwood. The team has been working tirelessly to replace this section of water pipe that leaked because of a vandalised valve on the 915mm diameter bulk reticulation water main in Blackbird Avenue. This emergency work has resulted in a water supply disruption to areas in the south.

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate hereby advises the public of roadworks along 4th Avenue and 6th Avenue in Philippi in Schaapkraal. The work is planned to take place from today, 9 April 2024, until the end of June 2024, from 07:30 to 17:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
