The City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim, and officials in Human Settlements delivered more title deeds to homeowners in Mitchells Plain.

|

'I am excited to see the progress we are making. We're on a mission to deliver 1 000 title deeds and keys to new homes to qualifying beneficiaries this festive season.

'It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate with more title deeds beneficiaries and their families in Mitchells Plain this week. Seeing the joy on their faces means so much to me. Homeownership is life changing and brings dignity to beneficiaries and their loved ones for many generations to come. We are passionate about empowering residents and we ask residents to spread the news and inform their neighbours and loved ones that the City will be in areas across the metro to deliver title deeds.

We've set aside a total of some R21,6 million this year to deliver title deeds. The Directorate currently has more than 12 000 title deeds on its registry and our Festive Deeds Challenge aims to make a very real difference to the lives of our residents and shows delivery in action. Let's build Cape Town. Together,' said Councillor Pophaim.
