With the survey period concluding at the end of May, residents are encouraged to participate in this important initiative. The survey has achieved significant progress, with more than 50% of the targeted 10 000 interviews already completed. <br></p> | <span><p>Areas already visited include Montana/Montevideo/Charlesville, Retreat, Brooklyn, Wesbank, Kensington, Thornton, Vrygrond, Philippi/Klipfontein Glebe (Philippi), Philippi Small Holdings (Philippi), Phola Park/Zondi (Gugulethu), Silver Town (Khayelitsha)and many others across the city. </p><p>The City extends its gratitude to households that have participated in the survey thus far. Your willingness to engage with interviewers is invaluable and greatly appreciated. Your participation directly contributes to a better understanding of the unique social and economic dynamics within each suburb.<br></p>

By participating, residents are actively shaping the future of their communities and contributing to the improvement of service delivery,' said Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.</p><p>Although participation is entirely voluntary, it will significantly contribute to providing the City with a more precise and current understanding of your neighborhood and community.</p><p>Interviews are being conducted in several areas for the next three weeks, these include: Bellville, Constantia/Bishopscourt, Fish Hoek, Cape Town CBD and Greenpoint, Somerset West, Claremont/Wynberg, Rondebosch, Rosebank and Mowbray. </p><p>Residents who have not yet been interviewed are urged to participate when surveyors visit their neighbourhoods. All information gathered will be used only for statistical and research purposes. Participation is voluntary and any participant will have the right of access to and the right to rectify or request the removal of the information collected. <br></p>

<img src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Images%202/Household%20Survey%202.jpg" class="responsive" alt="" style="width:1898px;" /> </figure></span><p><strong>Who will conduct this survey? </strong></p><p>We have contracted a data collection agency, <a href="https://www.kantar.com/locations/south-africa#_=" target="_blank">Kantar</a>, to conduct the survey on our behalf. </p><p><strong>How can I check if the person at my house is a legitimate interviewer for this survey?</strong></p><p>All interviewers will be clearly identified with an ID badge, a bib with City logo on it and will also have an informational pamphlet and QR code to where you can access all the details of the survey on our website. If you need further confirmation about the interviewer's identity, you can call their field manager (you'll find the details on their ID badge) or the City's call centre (0860 103 089).</p><p>No interviewer for this survey will ever request or require access to your property or home, and all interviews will be conducted at the property boundary.
