Over 40 000 at Netball World Cup Fan Park Over 40 000 at Netball World Cup Fan Park <img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Images%202/BANNER_NBWC%20Fan%20Park%204823%203.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /><p>​The free Netball World Cup Fan Park outside the CTICC has provided the ultimate spectator experience for both those with tickets to watch the games and those without, for the last six days. The Fan Park is still open daily until the end of the tournament on Sunday, 6 August. <br></p><p>​</p><span><p>Roughly 40 716 people have gone through the Fan Park since it opened its gates on Friday, 28 July 2023.  </p><p> </p><p>This includes those passing through for a drink or a bite  before heading inside the CTICC and those who visited the Fan Park specifically to watch games on big screens and enjoy an outdoor family outing.   </p><p> </p><p>Spectators at the Fan Park also enjoyed an array of live performances by local artists, netball exhibition games, a kid's corner, a food court, daily giveaways and a beer garden.   </p><p> </p><p>'Cape Town's Netball World Cup Fan Park has been the place to be for netball and sports lovers over the last couple of days. It's the perfect space for pre-game entertainment for those with tickets for courtside seats and has been a base for fans without tickets who are looking to enjoy a great watching experience with other netball lovers. <br></p> <figure class="subtopic-fullsize-img"> <img src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/Media%20Images%202/NBWC%20Fan%20Park%204823%201.jpg" class="responsive" alt="" style="width:860px;" /> </figure></span><span><p>'Our goal for this fan park has been to provide access for those who cannot afford tickets while also providing them with a safe environment to enjoy entertainment, games and art for 12-hours a day.
