| City supports Home Affairs in bringing services to Capetonians | City supports Home Affairs in bringing services to Capetonians | | <img alt="" src="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/cityassets/PublishingImages/City%20news.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" /> | <p>The City of Cape Town has availed municipal facilities to the National Department of Home Affairs (DHA) as they are bringing their services to various vulnerable communities in Cape Town. The Home Affairs On Wheels-initiative will be at City facilities in Fisantekraal, Ocean View, Masiphumelele, Morning Star, Gugulethu and Dunoon between 26 August and 30 August 2024. Residents will be able to do birth registrations (within 30 days from the birth event), Smart ID Card applications (first and re-issues) and collections, as well as passport applications on these days. <br></p> | <p>This initiative forms part of DHA's High Impact Outreach Programmes that are rolled out in provinces across the country. </p><p>The City of Cape Town will be providing the venues, electricity, ablution facilities and security on these days to assist with a successful outreach in these communities. </p><p><strong>Details of the </strong><strong><em>Home Affairs On Wheels-</em></strong><strong> events are as follows: </strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fisantekraal</strong><strong> </strong>: 26 August to 28 August 2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 at the Fisantekraal Hall (Multipurpose Centre), 29 Oscar Street, Fisantekraal <br><br> </li><li><strong>Ocean View</strong><strong> </strong>: 26 August to 30 August 2024 from 08:00 to 16:00 at the Ocean View Civic Centre, Cnr.
