City advises of water supply disruption in Ottery on 2 September

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be conducting a water infrastructure alteration on the main water supply to Eric Way, Gerard Road and Frank Way in Ottery on Thursday, 2 September 2021.

The work involves the removal of an alternate water supply connection to the main water supply that was previously installed to make repairs to a collapsed sewer manhole. This will result in the temporary disruption of the water supply to Eric Way, Gerard Road and Frank Way in Ottery from 09:00 until 16:00 on Thursday, 2 September 2021
 
Residents are advised to store water in clean, sealed containers for use during this period, and to ensure that their taps are closed to avoid water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored.
 
A water tanker will be stationed on the corner of Frank and Eric Way during this period.
 
The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, however, this work is necessary to ensure the water supply remains reliable.
