City advises of emergency repairs on the water supply main affecting Valhalla Park, Kalksteenfontein and Montana

<p>The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate will be doing emergency repairs to a severely leaking 225mm diameter water main in the vicinity of the Valhalla Drive from 09:00 until 18:00 on Thursday, 30 November 2023. This will require that the water supply to these areas be shut off to enable the maintenance team to do the repairs safely. <br></p>

<p>The Water and Sanitation maintenance team will be repairing a severely leaking 225mm diameter water pipeline which will result in the disruption of the water supply to these areas. </p><p>The necessary precautions have been taken to try and limit the impact as far as possible. </p><p>Residents in these areas are kindly requested to store enough water upfront for domestic consumption during this period and ensure that their taps are closed to prevent water loss and/or damage when the water supply is restored.</p><p>Water tankers will be roaming through these areas to provide water for domestic consumption.</p><p>The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to benefit its customers.</p><p><strong>End</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><br></p>
