Cape Town Future Energy Festival<h2 class="sectHeading">​​​​​​​​​​About​​​​​​​</h2><p>The Cape Town Future Energy Festival, a showcase of innovation and sustainable living, brings together a line-up of virtual, family-friendly events.</p><p>Made possible by our <a href="http://www.capetown.gov.za/Departments/Sustainable%20Energy%20Markets">Sustainable Energy Markets Department</a>, the festival promotes sustainable, and environmentally friendly energy solutions that you can implement in your own home, as well as information about what our energy future may look like. It aims to create conversations inspired by climate change and energy efficiency, solar and wind power, water saving and waste reduction, and smart transport and sustainable living.</p><p>Enter the <a href="https://www.capetownfutureenergyfestival.co.za/green-maker-mania" target="_blank">Green Maker Mania</a><i class="icon link-external"></i> showcase with your future energy themed project. You can submit as many entries as you like.</p><p>Your submission must include: </p><ul><li>Your name, address and age</li><li>Your occupation or trade</li><li>Contact information</li><li>The name and purpose of your project</li></ul><p>After you have submitted, you will receive an email confirming that we’ve received your application. If you don’t receive confirmation, email us on <a href="mailto:energy@zafanzone.co.za" target="_blank">energy@zafanzone.co.za</a>.</p><p>Visit the <a href="https://www.capetownfutureenergyfestival.co.za/green-maker-mania" target="_blank">Green Maker Mania</a><i class="icon link-external"></i> page for more information and view some of the topics we’re looking for.</p><h2 class="sectHeading">​​​​​​​​​​Watt's in the Pot?</h2><p>Submissions closed on 7 August and the finalists will be announced on 12 August 2020.<br></p><p>Six finalists will be invited to cook their recipes as a part of a live cooking show in an industrial kitchen for the judges from 26-28 August 2020.
