Meeting date: 21 February 2019 RESOLVED Subcouncil 24 supports the recommendation: . That it is RECOMMENDED that the motion submitted by Cllr G Peck be supported and that the Subcouncil approach the Traffic Engineers Department to investigate a speed review to reduce the speed on Old Stellenbosch Road, to 40 km per hour from Firmount intersection to the intersection with Main Road in Somerset West. Motivation: There are two ECD Schools and De Hoop Primary School located along this road. Motorists are travelling at the 60 km per hour speed which is a danger to the children who must cross this road twice a day. Mover: Cllr G Peck and seconded by Cllr S Batala with no objections to the motion. Action: Chrystal Frantz
