RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY THAT:

a) An administrative penalty of R100 000 for the unauthorised usage BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of remainder Erf 1016 and erf 1017, Vredehoek.

b) An administrative penalty of R100 000 be imposed for the unauthorised usage BE DETERMINED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Portion of Erf 1020 (unregistered erf 2602), Vredehoek.


REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the planner’s report and added an additional reason that reads as follows:

4. The change of the land use on the plan between land use clearance and building plan approval is of grave concern and warrants a higher penalty
