Valuations Department<p>​The department is structured into five functional areas: </p><ul><li>Valuation operations – includes the implementation of valuation methods and approaches and standards to produce the General Valuation Roll</li><li>Valuation surveys and quality – responsible for the data collection that supports the valuation process</li><li>Valuation data and business systems – responsible for providing data and systems support including network and infrastructure, and computer assisted mass appraisal modelling</li><li>Valuation business environment – responsible for customer care, objections and appeals</li><li>Business Integration and Valuation Regulation – responsible for the Rates Policy, oversight of valuations related legislative requirements, reporting, and guidance on business and development strategies</li></ul><p>​Our department’s vision is to be a world leader in the valuation of property, with a reputation for delivering reliable appraisals in a professional manner.</p><p>Our mission is to deliver a high quality and impartial valuation service to our customers to sustain a cost effective, just and accurate valuation roll in the provision of fair and equitable rates for the City.
