Property Management Department​ <h3>Priority assets</h3><p>We help to promote Cape Town as a premier events destination by ensuring the financial sustainability of key assets.</p><p>The City’s priority assets include:</p><ul><li>City Hall</li><li>Athlone Stadium</li><li>Good Hope Centre</li><li>Grand Parade</li></ul><h3>Property disposals and acquisitions</h3><p>We buy land and rights in land (servitudes) for municipal services, which include roads, reservoirs, pipelines and land for housing.</p><p>We also dispose of, through selling or leasing, land and buildings that the municipality no longer needs.</p><h3>Property holding</h3><p> Property holding is responsible for selling and leasing specifically designated land. We also deal with the associated contractual, financial, maintenance and tenanting functions.</p><p>The Property Management Department manages the City’s fixed property assets.
