Residents in Kraaifontein asked to please reduce consumption due to emergency repairs

The City’s Water and Sanitation Department is currently attending to emergency repairs on its 450mm diameter water supply main to the Kraaifontein area. A fault on this pipe has resulted in the disruption of the water supply to the area.

Affected areas include Bonnie Brae, Zoo Park, Windsor Park, Windsor Estate, Peerless Park East, Peerless Park West, Zonnendal and Buh Rein. These areas are currently receiving supply via an alternative pipeline, but low pressure may be experienced, especially during peak consumption hours.
 
The repairs involves the replacement of a non-standard reduction section on the water main and can therefore only be completed by midday tomorrow, 21 October 2020. 

The City requests residents in the affected areas to minimise non-essential water consumption during this period to minimise outages.

The City regrets inconvenience caused and assures residents the repairs are undertaken with due urgency.
