Cape Town dam levels increase by 3,6%
16 June 2020
Dams supplying the Cape Metro have increased by 3,6% over the past week (8 June to 14 June 2020) to 58,2% of total capacity.
Water consumption for the same period decreased to 650 million litres per day. Consumption the previous week was at 659 million litres per day.
‘It is encouraging to see dam levels moving in the right direction, and nearing the 60% mark after some decent rain. Hopefully, this will continue to improve over the next few days and weeks,’ said Alderman Xanthea Limberg.
