Resolution detail

It is NOTED that an application for a liquor license received from Kwetu Restaurant was considered in terms of sub-delegated authority and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the Liquor Authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act, 2008, as amended:
 
Subcouncil 4 recommends that the application for an On-Consumption Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA24020019, for the business Kwetu Restaurant at 39 Elsies River Halt, Riverton, Elsies River, should NOT BE SUPPORTED for to the following objections that were received:
 
·        The subject property (re-8792 Goodwood) is zoned for transport purposes. Erf 40185 is zoned for General Business purposes. The case is submitted on the incorrect property and therefore cannot be supported in its current format.
·        Due to an outstanding business license approval, the application for a liquor license cannot be approved.
·        Applicant to submit a fire protection plan to the local authority for approval. 
The premises are currently certified with a Certificate of Acceptability, however, the Environmental Health Practitioner advised that some additional alterations have been made in the interim, which would require the facility to reapply for a certificate to effect the changes.
