Cllr Swart enquired regarding the bay size 3mx3m at Wolverivier, and whether the said bay size could be amended to:
To range between 3mx6m.
- In response, the official, Ms S. Alexander said that the bay size can be amended as per the councillor’s request.

It is recommended that Subcouncil 1
SUPPORTS the revised Informal Trading Plan for Ward 23, and recommends that the Executive Mayor together with the Members of the Mayoral Committee recommend to Council that:
The bay size 3mx3m at Wolverivier, be amended to: To range between 3mx6m.
In terms of the process described in the Informal Trading By-law, that Council adopt the review of the Informal Trading Plan for Ward 23 as indicated in the attached Annexures B - E;
The area indicated in Annexures B - E to be a declared area in which the carrying on of the business of street vendors, peddlers or hawkers is prohibited, with the exception of the informal trading bays indicated in the plan in Annexures B – E;
d. The informal trading bays indicated in Annexures B - E to be declared areas that are restricted to persons without a valid informal trading permit issued by the City of Cape Town;
The informal trading bays indicated in Annexures B - E to be let out by means of a permit system and that no street vending, peddling or hawking be permitted in these demarcated informal trading bays without a valid permit for the proposed informal trading bays;
The four sites indicated in Annexures B – E be demarcated as approved trading sites;
The comments received during the public participation process, listed in Annexure H, be noted and the responses provided by Area Economic Development be supported;
That it must be noted that no objections were received during the public participation process;
In terms of the provisions of the Businesses Act, Act 71 of 1991, City of Cape Town to revoke portions of the proclamation published in the Province of the Western Cape: Provincial Gazette Notice 7544,dated 11 December 2015; where it is applicable;
j. The revised informal trading plan, as approved, be published in the Provincial Gazette in terms of the Informal Trading By-Law.
