Through our libraries we aim to encourage lifelong learning and a culture of reading, as well as to provide access to the internet, help with literacy tuition, and support the education needs of students. We have over 750 000 library members across our metro.

Donate to Early Childhood Development centres

The City’s Community, Arts and Culture Development Department (CACD) aims to ensure that all young children have access to sustainable ECD services that help their physical, mental, social, and emotional growth. We welcome your large and small donations towards the construction of ECD centres in Cape Town.

Support recreation and parks programmes

The Recreation and Parks Department provides a large number of programmes for all ages across the city at sports grounds, halls and community centres. These programmes play a key role in keeping people physically active and engaged in their communities.

Support the Mayor’s Charity Auction Dinner

The Mayor’s Charity Auction Dinner is an annual event to raise funds for a specific identified cause each year. We are holding the 2024 dinner in honour of the City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services.
