Attend or volunteer on a meal and feeding scheme
A number of our facilities run programmes providing meals for those who can’t afford food. These meals are available to all, including school children and street people. Food is either donated to the feeding scheme or provided by charitable groups.

The internationally recognised Strengthening Families Programme has proven to reduce problem behaviours, delinquency, and substance abuse in children as well as improve social skills and school performance.

The City’s Community, Arts and Culture Development (CACD) Department, with support from registered NGOs, NPOs, CBOs, Provincial Department of Social Development and other spheres of government, provides awareness campaigns and training programmes for vulnerable groups in line with our Vulnerable Groups Policy, 2013.
