What you need to know!</h2></span> <p>The City is required to lease or dispose of its surplus viable land via a transparent and competitive process. Letters of support from adjacent owners for purposes of compliance to public participation requirements </li><li> A valid tax clearance certificate issued by South African Revenue Services (SARS) confirming that the applicant is registered with SARS and in good standing, must be provided </li><li> Building plan (where applicable) </li><li> Certified proof of registration if the applicant is a company, trust, body corporate, home owners’ association, close corporation, registered welfare organisation, charitable NGO, non-profit organisation or a religious organisation </li><li> Copy of applicant's identity document, marriage certificate and copy of spouse's identity document </li><li> Copy of municipal account and municipal account number </li><li> Deed of Trust </li><li> Land / property sketch </li><li> Letter of authority </li><li> Motivation letter for the proposed site with investigation of possible co-location or rooftop alternatives (telecommunication applications only) </li><li>Social care organisations to provide proof of registration with the Provincial Administration: Western Cape, Department of Social Services </li><li> VAT number, if the applicant is VAT class="sectHeading">Apply to buy City-owned land for ECD Centre purposes</h2><p>Existing operators that meet the minimum criteria can apply to buy municipal land for Early Childhood Development (ECD) purposes.</p><p> <strong>Step 1: </strong> <a href="https://resource.capetown.gov.za/documentcentre/Documents/Forms%2c%20notices%2c%20tariffs%20and%20lists/ECD-Sale-Application-Form.pdf">Download and centres on City-owned land qualifying for inclusion in the tenure regularisation programme</a>. </p><p>ECD centre operators interested in purchasing City-owned land, which they are currently occupying must:</p><ul><li>Have a Business Partner number. </li><li>Be a non-profit entity with one of the following: <br>Non-Profit Organisation registered with National Department of Social Development; or <br>a Non-Profit Company registered with CIPC; or <br>a Voluntary Association with a constitution. </li><li>Be connected to municipal services, with requisite account numbers and municipal accounts
