On 4 August 2019, Cape Town’s dam levels were at 76,8%. The metro’s collective water consumption for the week of 29 July to 4 August 2019 has increased to 588 m/l per day (last week consumption was at 550 m/l per day).
 
A decision around water restrictions will be taken at the end of the hydrological year in October/November this year. Residents are encouraged to continue using water sparingly and to remain water-wise.
