Alderman Smith once again stressed the importance of wearing face masks as part of our daily life for the general public, but also for frontline staff. The City’s Fire and Rescue Service, and other frontline Safety and Security staff are all equipped with the necessary PPE, including face masks.

Fire Service staff from Sea Point, Salt River and Brooklyn Fire Stations received 250 face masks and other PPE today. The remainder of face masks will  be distributed to the other four fire Stations in the Western District namely Wynberg, Epping, Constantia and Hout Bay.
