The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate has closed the westbound-lane of Voortrekker Road between the intersection with Durban Road (R302) and just past Rhos Street in Bellville with immediate effect to undertake emergency repairs to a collapsed stormwater pipe. 

The intersection with Boston Street/AJ West Street is not affected. 

Road users are advised to avoid the area if possible, and to use alternative routes until further notice.
