3. DROP-OFF RESTRICTIONS (NO CHANGE)

In addition to refuse collection delays, due to a delay with contract administrative processes, the drop-off facilities will offer a restricted service with effect from 1 July 2022 as follows:

  1. Mixed Waste and Builders Rubble: limited to one 1,5 ton load per client at ALL sites (while there is bin capacity, rubble must be disposed of at landfill sites).
  2. Garden refuse will be accepted at only the following sites: Kommetjie, Hout Bay, Mitchells Plan, Wynberg, Prince George Drive, Killarney, Tygerdal, Kraaifontein, Athlone and Gordons Bay.
Drop-offs at Coastal Park and Vissershok are not affected by the restrictions mentioned above.

The City will continue to update residents around contingency plans as the situation unfolds.
