The temporary lane closures on FW de Klerk Boulevard (N1) will be as follows:

Inbound lane closures:

• 11:00 to 16:00 from Monday to Thursday
• 10:00 to 15:00 on Fridays

 

Outbound lane closures:

• 09:00 to 14:00 from Monday to Friday

 

Please note that the outbound closures will be implemented first and the temporary lane closures will run for a period of eight to ten weeks.

'I kindly request road users to please be patient while we are busy with this critical repair and rehabilitation of the existing vehicular bridge structure at Lower Church Street. By doing this work, we are mitigating further degradation of the structure due to concrete spalling and theft. The structure will be safer and more aesthetically pleasing for all road users and local businesses once we are done with the work,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
