SMMEs take centre stage at 4th annual Bellville Business Expo

13 October 2026

Bellville Business Expo returns to Tyger Valley this October

The Bellville Business Expo is back on Wednesday, 28 October and Thursday, 29 October 2026 for its fourth edition at the Tyger Valley Centre Arena. Businesses who would like to participate in the exhibition still have the opportunity to do so, as there are a few spaces available.

Hosted by the City-funded Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP), as part of the 'better. bellville.together.' initiative,  and Tyger Valley Centre, the expo turns the spotlight on local small businesses to showcase their products or services, develop strategic partnerships, and access new market opportunities.

Through the City's Economic Growth Directorate, it supports the work of the GTP, which focuses on place-making, urban regeneration, investment promotion and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors in the Bellville region.

'The Bellville Business Expo has become an important tool for entrepreneurs and developing enterprises to connect with investors, funders, clients, and service providers.

‘Bellville is the second largest office node in the metro, behind Cape Town CBD. Not only is the Northern Suburbs the base for the headquarters of some of South Africa’s biggest corporations, but it also hosts some 3 500 small and medium-sized enterprises, 250 industrial businesses, nine tertiary institutions and 10 hospitals operating within the broader region,’ said Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.

Once again, exhibitors will include participants of the Bellville Connect Level Up Programme. This is a four-month business development journey designed to help participants strengthen their operations, grow their customer base, and ultimately realise new opportunities for growth.

‘Through the City’s support for and work with the GTP, we are nurturing and empowering a base of small businesses to employ more Capetonians, boost their bottom line and become the big corporations of tomorrow. I can’t wait to meet these entrepreneurs who highlight the best of Bellville and Cape Town,’ said Alderman Vos.
