Roadworks to commence in Camps Bay and Bakoven

9 October 2023

'We would like to thank road users for their patience in this infrastructure-led project to improve the road network

The roadworks will commence this week and the expected completion date is 10 November 2023.

This project will include public roadworks and milling, which all forms part of the regular maintenance to prolong the longevity of the City's road network. The resurfacing will be done during the day from 09:00 until 15:00 on week days, however, there might be additional work done at night and during weekends, when required.

'We would like to thank road users for their patience in this infrastructure-led project to improve the road network. Residents in these areas are expected to have a level of noise pollution during this time and should also note that these dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility Councillor Rob Quintas.

Traffic moving in both directions will be affected, but there will be flag personnel to direct traffic around the work area. Also note that vehicles parked in the road or obstructing the maintenance work will be moved or towed away.

Road users are requested to use alternative routes during this period.
