Road resurfacing in Kuils River

2 May 2025

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to advise members of the public of roadworks along Bottelary Road, between the R300 and Amandel Lane, in Kuils River. The work is planned to take place from today, 2 May 2025, until Monday, 2 June 2025, between 08:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.

‘The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to thank residents and road users in Kuils River for their patience during the course of this project. The work will involve removing the existing road surface and resurfacing it. We will also be repairing or replacing selected damaged manholes, catch pits, frames, and chambers where necessary. The aim is to keep Cape Town moving on good quality roads,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

To facilitate the work, road users are advised to anticipate partial lane closures and plan their journeys accordingly or use alternative routes where possible to minimise delays.

Once complete, new road markings will be applied to improve road safety and visibility.
