Resurfacing of various roads in Eerste River

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate would like to inform residents, road users and businesses of roadworks along various roads in Eerste River.The details of the resurfacing and rehabilitation work include the milling of existing roads and filling them with new asphalt.
All road markings removed during the process will be reinstated.
The various road segments that will be resurfaced are as follows:
- Bobs Way
- Beverly Road
- Mirage Avenue
- Turban Crescent
- Spurwing Drive
- Springbok Road
- Norman Street
- Elands Street
- Snipe Way
- Drongo Street
- Lourie Way
- Weaver Way
- Forest Drive
- Trafalgar Street
- Beefwood Road
- Fiddlewood Road and
- Camphor Crescent
'Residents and road users in the vicinity of Eerste River will soon benefit from the general road maintenance work. The resurfaced roads will improve road safety conditions, riding quality and keep Cape Town moving. We thank residents for their patience while we are busy with this project that aims to prolong the longevity of the roads in this neighbourhood,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
Congestion is expected and the City recommends that road users be cautious while work is underway, and to adhere to the temporary road signage. Flag personnel will direct traffic through temporary detours around the work area. Work areas will be demarcated to regulate traffic flow.
