The affected roads in Wetton will include:

• Joy Avenue

• Delos Road

• Minos Road

• Malta Road

• Welwyn Road

• Canal Road

• Crete Road

• Stella Road

• Norman Avenue

• Meadow Road

• Sicily Road 

• Vorster Avenue

The project will include the replacement of selected damaged kerbs and channels. The milling out of existing asphalt surface layers, the laying of new layers of asphalt and the repainting of road markings on all resurfaced roads.

‘We are aware of the frustration that road users may experience during this construction, however, we would like to inform residents that traffic will be deviated away from the construction and traffic will be accommodated in both directions. The resurfacing in Wetton will be done during the day from 07:30 until 17:00 on weekdays. Residents can expect a level of noise pollution during this time. Road users are requested to use alternative routes during this period,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
