The road network around the Vredenberg area in Bellville is currently in the process of being resurfaced. The total cost of the project amounts to about R2.05 million supplied by the Transport for Cape Town maintenance budget and will deliver a much-needed upgrade for the existing road infrastructure.
Preparation work started on 9 June 2016 with construction commencing on 20 June 2016. All road resurfacing work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, 15 July 2016. A stop-and-go system will be in effect for the duration of the project although only minor traffic flow disruptions are anticipated.
The following roads are affected:
- ​Saasveld Street
- Camelia Crescent
- Stellenberg Road
