​‘I want to thank residents, road users and businesses along these Kuils River roads for their patience while we are doing this important maintenance work. These roadworks are to prolong the longevity of the City’s road network so that we can keep Cape Town moving,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

This resurfacing project entails:

• The milling of the existing roads and filling it with a new asphalt surfacing layer.
• The re-alignment of misaligned concrete channels.
• All road markings removed during the process will also be reinstated.
Traffic moving in both directions will be affected. Flag personnel will direct traffic through temporary detours around the work area.
