The affected areas are Simon’s Town, Cape Point Trade, Capri, Sunnydale East, Fairie Knowe, Noordhoek, Longbeach Village, Fish Hoek Beach, Clovelly, Kalkbay, St James, Muizenberg and Lake Michelle.

‘We are currently putting a contingency plan in place to ensure a service is rendered this week. Unfortunately, this will not be possible today. The City unfortunately does not have sufficient capacity to assist the contractor which services the area,’ said Alderman Grant Twigg, Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Waste Management.

Residents and businesses are asked to remove their bins from pavements and place them out again tomorrow for service. 

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused.
