Planned water supply maintenance from 29 to 30 January 2025

The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate will be doing planned work in the identified areas, which will result in water supply disruption.Maintenance work, including pipe and valve installations, repairs and replacements
Residents are advised to store enough water in advance, as a precautionary measure in clean, sealed containers.
Planned maintenance work will result in water supply disruption to these areas:
Neil Hare Road - Atlantis
The water supply to a section of Neil Hare Road in Atlantis will be shut off from 09:00 until 16:00 on Wednesday, 29 January 2025. This will allow the maintenance team to connect the newly installed pipeline to the existing water supply infrastructure. A water tanker will be roaming through the area to provide water for domestic use where required. Affected residents are kindly advised to store water in clean, sealed containers ahead of the disruption to ensure adequate supply.
Ndabeni
The water supply to Ndabeni will be shut off from 09:00 until 17:00 on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 with possible pressure fluctuations in Maitland, Salt River, Paarden Eiland and Kensington. This will allow for the installation of a pressure reducing valve (PRV) on the water supply main to these areas. Affected residents are kindly advised to store water in clean, sealed containers ahead of the disruption to ensure adequate supply.
Maitland
The water supply to these areas will be shut off from 09:00 until 17:00 on Thursday, 30 January 2025 with possible pressure fluctuations in Ndabeni, Salt River, Paarden Eiland, Kensington and Pinelands. This will allow for the installation of a pressure reducing valve (PRV) on the water supply main to these areas. Affected residents are kindly advised to store water in clean, sealed containers ahead of the disruption to ensure adequate supply.
Martinville, Benetownship, Roundby, Kalamunda and a portion of Bizweni
The water supply to these areas will be shut off from 09:00 until 17:00 on Thursday, 30 January 2025. This will allow for the installation of a pressure reducing valve (PRV) on the water supply main to these areas. Affected residents are kindly advised to store water in clean, sealed containers ahead of the disruption to ensure adequate supply.
This work forms part of the Water and Sanitation Directorate’s proactive infrastructure maintenance and upgrade programme, which ensures the future continuity of water supply by addressing the issue of unaccounted for water.
