Load-shedding: Reduce water use now, especially in Deep South and Kraaifontein areas

Prolonged, higher stages of load-shedding is having an impact on water supply operations in Cape Town, notably in the Deep South and Kraaifontein. Residents across the city, including those in these identified areas can help by using less water.As a precautionary measure, the City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate is asking residents, particularly in the following areas to please reduce their water use for the rest of the weekend. This will help maintain the supply during prolonged higher stages of load-shedding, which is affecting water supply operations. The affected areas are:
- De Novo and Kraaifontein including, Belmont Park, Eikendal and Scottsville
