Earlier today, the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, Councillor Rob Quintas, visited Kloof Nek Road to see the progress the City’s Road Infrastructure Management team has made with the resurfacing of the road over the last few weeks. The works are currently under way along the portion between Burnside Road and Tafelberg Road. The City asks that road users remain patient while it aims to complete the project by mid-December 2021, ahead of the busy festive season.

The maintenance of this section of road is very important as it is a key route linking the Cape Town CBD with areas such as Camps Bay and Hout Bay and must be well maintained to prolong its longevity and to improve the safety of road users.
