​​On behalf of the City of Cape Town, I would like to wish all Muslim residents Eid Mubarak as the month of Ramadan draws to a close.

During this period, followers of the Islamic faith have displayed acts of charity and generosity towards the vulnerable and those in need.

We are grateful for these efforts which demonstrate the role that residents play in building a caring city. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that the City will be participating in the festivities at the Nakhlistan in Rylands.

I hope that this was a time of deep spiritual renewal and inner peace. May your Eid festivities be a time of good tiding with your family and loved ones.
