On behalf of the City of Cape Town, I would like to wish all Jewish residents a meaningful fast as they observe Yom Kippur.

During this holy period of atonement and prayer, we trust you will find peace in the quietness of your reflections and draw closer to God.

May you all be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life and may you all be blessed at this holy time.
