City title deeds handed over in Delft

10 October 2024

Our land reform and redress truly is in action and we are creating homeowners across various areas in Cape Town

‘Our land reform and redress truly is in action and we are creating homeowners across various areas in Cape Town, providing residents with security and the dignity of homeownership. We are delivering meaningful change to residents of our communities, one title deed at a time. We have been working through our initial database of about 16 000 deeds that are waiting to find their owners and are handing over as many deeds as possible.

‘These important documents prove ownership and are important for financial transactions and estate planning. If you think you might be owed a title deed, please do not hesitate to reach out to us,’ said Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim.
