City’s mobile office to visit Langa, Manenberg, Maitland and Hout Bay
6 June 2019
The City of Cape Town’s mobile office service has been running over the past year and has been well received by communities across Cape Town. The customer service teams assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically. To date the mobile office team has been very effective in that they have been able to resolve long outstanding queries for residents.
The City has found that the most common queries and service requests relate to water and electricity accounts, stolen or damaged bins, and potholes.
Residents have been very appreciative of the City coming out to their areas.
‘We are bringing customer service to residents to afford them the opportunity to enquire and to solve issues without having to spend time and money on transport. Over the past year our teams have actually established relationships with some residents who look forward to and make use of this service on a regular basis. I encourage all residents to take full advantage of this opportunity to resolve their municipal matters. We aim to have a mobile office in at least one area per day,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Councillor Sharon Cottle.
The Mobile Office sessions are held at community facilities that are easily accessible. The schedule for the week of 10 to 14 June 2019 is as follows:
